If you have asked the question like is there any games like fallout 4 then you are at right place. Whatever genre you are most interested in, there is no denying that you probably tried 2 genres before: RPG and FPS since they are by far the most popular ones. If you ever wanted a game that combined both, though, you definitely played Fallout.
Although it did not start as an FPS/RPG mash-up, after Fallout 3, the series revolutionized itself and got in the way of including FPS elements in its games. The latest entry, Fallout 4 is a great example of that and below mentioned games are exactly like that.
With a huge open world, different factions and characters and tons of side quests to through, the game captivated a lot of fans. But if you have already finished it and are too lazy to wait for the upcoming new title Fallout 76, we compiled the games similar to Fallout 4.

The co-op is much more prioritized this time with all different vehicles and different approaches you can take on missions. Even though it doesn’t try anything new, Far Cry 5 is a fun open-world game you can play with your friend.

It’s been a while since it got released so you can buy the game with its DLCs for a really low price and DLCs are really what make this game to be honest.
The main game is great, but its extra content for this game is probably the best DLC ever made for a video game.

With tons of different weapons, powers, combos and well-animated finishing moves, coupled with satisfying gore, it is one of the best fighting experiences you’ll ever have.

11. Mad Max
Welcome to the scorched world of Mad Max. The game’s main focus is its gameplay. The melee combat system is similar to Batman: Arkham series’ combat with a few new additions. You can upgrade your character in many different ways and the same goes for your car. The vehicle combat in this game is amazing.
You can customize and upgrade your car in unbelievable, crazy ways and each one of them adds something new to the experience. While its story doesn’t pick up until the end, its vast world and fun gameplay are more than enough reasons to try this game.
Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, Linux
12. Tom Clancy’s The Division
The Division didn’t get a very smooth launch. There were many bugs, balance issues and so on. But the developers did the impossible and kept updating the game with bug fixes, improvements and new additions. Today, the game stands in a beautiful spot and many of the old players are returning.
It is set in New York where the city is almost wiped by a virus. The story is mediocre, but the way it plays, the weekly missions, raids, the looting and the progression is what makes this game.
Platforms: Microsoft Windows, PS4, Xbox One
13. S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl
The first and the best game of the famous S.T.A.L.K.E.R series, Shadow of Chernobyl gives you the control of a soldier with amnesia. You are in The Zone, a place around the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant that has anomalies, mutants, zombies and different human factions.
The game combines FPS and RPG elements beautifully; the inventory system, weapons, armors, shooting mechanics, the world and its characters all come together to form a living, breathing world. It is a game best experienced first-hand; believe me when I say “There is no game like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. but S.T.A.L.K.E.R.”.
14. Dead Island: Definitive Collection
Dead Island: Definitive Collection contains 2 remastered games: Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide. They throw you on a zombie-infested island and you choose one of the 4 characters that are immune to the virus, each with their own strengths. The story isn’t the highlight here, it is the gameplay.
There are guns in the game, but they don’t stand out among the various melee weapons you can craft and mod with the stuff you find on the island, be it an electrified kitchen knife or a bat with a saw disc on top. The zombies get torn apart according to your slashes and it is really satisfying.
You can also play it co-op with up to 4 players and slashing and smashing zombies to death has never been this fun with your friends.
Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows
15. E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy
E.Y.E is one of the oddest video games of all time. It is incomparably amazing in some areas, those being the number of ways that you can play the game with dozens of different “researches”, abilities, upgrades, weapons and cyber upgrades.
The gameplay is amazing and extremely unique; the only game that I can think of that bears any resemblance to E.Y.E is the original Deus Ex. But it also features a lot of bugs and game mechanics that will frustrate you to no end.
It is a Source game and feels like a Half-Life 2 total conversion mode rather than a full, separate game. The story is extremely odd Also, the game can be played co-op, up to 32 players. Overall, it is actually a really unique, one-of-a-kind experience.
Platforms: Microsoft Windows (PC)
16. Borderlands: Pre-Sequel
Pre-Sequel takes place before Borderlands 2 and tells the tale of Handsome Jack and how he became the charismatic villain he is in the Borderlands 2. Gameplay-wise, though, it is the same old BL we all know and love with just enough tweaks to keep things fresh. Different classes with crazy, unique gameplay, an infinite variety of loot, mods and crazy humor.
Again, it is recommended that you play the 20 hour-or-so campaign with 3 other friends to get the most enjoyment out of it as possible, but it is still a blast to play alone.
Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, Nvidia Shield
